Job Summary:
The Assembly and Test Operator is responsible for assembling and testing products, and for troubleshooting and resolving issues.
Pay Rate: $18+ / hour.
Weekday Day: 7am - 5:30pm (Monday - Thursday) with some mandatory OT on Fridays.
Weekday Night: 5pm - 3:30am (Monday - Friday) - $3 shift diff. with some mandatory OT on Friday night - Saturday.
All contractors must train on the weekday day shift (Monday - Friday, 7am - 5:30pm) for at least 3 weeks and then will be moved to the night shift during the week or stay on the weekday day shift if that is the shift they were hired for.
Responsibilities:
- Assemble components of all products, selecting the correct tools and fixtures.
- Test assembled products. Troubleshoot and resolve problems associated with the assembly and testing of products.
- Read blueprints; identify components; use pertinent tools and rework techniques; operate equipment, dimensioning and setting tolerances of mechanical parts and assemblies.
- Create labor records for all transactions.
- Ensure good housekeeping within own work area.
- Take personal responsibility for safety and adhere to relating Risk Assessments.
- Use the guiding principles and tools of the Manufacturing System to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- High school diploma, General Educational Development (GED), or related experience.
- Must be mechanically adept; able to use a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and carry out written and oral instructions; write legibly.
- Wiring experience.
- Experience working with assembly related operations or equivalent preferred.
